After frogging ” THE PENCIL CASE”, my intrest in it was renewed along with the fresh start when I decided to give it a point. So I finished it straight away. Oh, by the way I used the entire paper towel tube, I didn’t remove a piece as per the pattern, when I cut it.

I also finished two hats. The first one is a baby/toddler summer bucket hat in blue variegated yarns. I used my children’s size pattern, but because I crochet on the tight side and variegated yarn tends to crochet up smaller the circumfernce was more suitable for average head sizes of baby/ toddlers from 6 to 18 months of age.

Size Made: Toddler size was made by only doing 20 rounds then doing the brim.
I made it to match the one I made for his daddy, Justin.
I had to make a dark sage hat band for Justin’s too. He did not like the neon colored one that was crocheted right into the hat. The reason I just made a hat band for Martin’s is I didn’t have two skeins of this color yarn to hold two strands together. So both hats have removeable bands.
Another way to get things off your WIP’s list is to frogg the project, so I decided to frogg the wavy blue green baby blanket.
I was not liking how it was coming along. I only have one ball of the puppy print and I think I was over using it in the stripe pattern. After I got it all ripped out, I decided to crochet a blanket using the pattern I am using for the light and airy spring scarf. I also have a better idea what I will be doing for the stripe pattern. So actually a baby blanket is still in the WIP’s but just in a new form. 😀
Speaking of the light and airy scarf I decided to frogg it also. I liked the pattern, but I realized that I did not have enough different variegated blue and no variegated pinks to do the color stripe pattern I wanted. I plan to start this project again. I will be finding yarn that I have enough of to complete what I have in mind, the next go round.
